Claire Butcher has been responsible for delivering staff training and Business service improvement within the NHS Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.
She has successfully delivered on all project tasks in a timely and efficiently manner. All the staff have been delighted with the results Claire has achieved through her good humour and having the ability to listen to the needs of the staff and explain the reasons for the changes in process which in turn has lead to improvements within the services and most importantly to the patients we serve.

Claire Butcher came in for half a days coaching with Rosemarie, the supervisor in my team. Rosemarie had only recently taken on supervisory responsibilities and was struggling with the transition from team member to team leader.

We first came across Clarify when looking for a temporary Microsoft Office trainer to cover a short term illness. When a subsequent project arose to deliver bespoke Microsoft Excel training to a selection of GP Surgery staff across Hampshire, Clarify took it on with enthusiasm and skill. Eastleigh College has been working with Clarify Training since December 2005. Claire from Clarify met with the College to discuss a number of training needs, the main priority being a cross college training programme for the new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System. Other areas of training needs were Microsoft Excel, Visio and Project and the use of the vle, Moodle, and an introduction to Dreamweaver.
Claire had to meet a deadline of 2 months to provide training on the new CRM system to over 70 staff across the College. This was not an easy task as the staff included tutors, learning managers and curriculum staff, some of whom had limited computer literacy. Claire also had to constantly change training dates and times to synchronise with teaching commitments.
Claire and Helen, one of Clarify Training's trainers, met the deadline. All the staff were very complimentary about the way the training was delivered, its clarity and relevance. It was noted that both trainers were friendly and made the training interesting and easy to understand in a way that was relevant to each persons role within the College.

We have been using Clarify Training for the last 8 months and have been really impressed with their professional service. We had another supplier carrying out a project for us, which was running late by 8 months; however, this 8 month overdue project will soon be completed and we wish to acknowledge that this would not have been possible without the professional assistance of Clarify Training and in particular Claire Butcher.
Claire visited our offices on several occasions and provided one to one training for our team covering a wide range of Microsoft and Sage applications. She was even prepared to do 'homework' before coming to see us and made herself familiar with Tranman, an RAC Fleet Management Software, so that she could provide guidance on using this specialist program. In 2009, Claire worked with us on two profiling days; one for Managers, the other for our Sales team. There had been initial concern and misunderstanding among the teams, and Claire was able to explain and promote the value of profiling and how it could help teams work together and with customers.
In all the training Claire has been involved with at RP she has demonstrated the ability to tailor delivery and content to the needs and personalities involved, without compromising on the objectives. Thanks largely to this approach the Managers embraced profiling, and have worked more closely, and the Sales team learned to identify customer types and modify their approach accordingly.

Claire was booked for one session via our HR person in Head Office to make me understand and Learn more on Windows Excel. What I was taught and shown in the time slot given was fantastic, I do believe in a one on one consultation if you get given the chance. We needed a local company to provide In-house training on Microsoft Products to a wide spread of people with differing skill sets.
Clarify were recommended to us and a program of training for two distinct user groups was agreed.
With a refreshingly flexible approach, a bonding between trainee and instructor rapidly developed, and the program quickly evolved into a combination of group instruction and individual coaching at their desks.
Coaching using data relevant to our daily activities to reinforce newly acquired skills has proved most beneficial in increasing confidence of staff and immediately transferring new skills into the workplace to the benefit of the business as a whole.
To-date twelve staff have successfully undergone training at very competitive rates and plans are in place for further training to take place.
Ever since our team-building day in the beautiful woods at Lasham people have been coming up to me and thanking me for arranging it, and asking what's next!
From the start, it was fantastic to see how you put people at their ease and introduced the concept of working together to achieve great things almost without anyone noticing! People here are still talking about how two canes refused to move downwards despite everyone wanting them to, about helping each other along the wire and about making fire. There is a definite 'buzz' about the place, and we plan to capitalise on that and keep up the momentum.
Thank you for the planning that went into making the whole day work so well, for facilitating the whole thing brilliantly and for sharing with us your knowledge and expertise in such a friendly and approachable way. The twenty people who arrived at Lasham largely as individuals are now a much more close-knit team, who understand the importance of thinking of, and working together with, others.

Many issues with which we have previously struggled have now been resolved, some even with one click! This only reinforces the value of a relatively small investment to achieve a level of computer literacy which will save us all so much hitherto wasted time and frustration.
This clearly demonstrates the advantage of spending a few hours with someone who knows their way around the programs and who, more importantly, can communicate and give instruction in a language we can all understand.

We worked with a local College to train their staff on their on in-house CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. Our trainers learnt the product, produced lesson plans, training guides and handouts and then delivered the training according to an appropriate timetable to suit Teaching staff's hectic days! We even taught outside of normal working hours to suit the client's needs.
We work with a school in Fareham whose teachers need some general help with Microsoft products. We designed some hour long introductory sessions to be run first thing when the teaching staff find it easier to get cover for their classes, and then schedule 1-2-1 sessions throughout the day for staff to join us for some specific training needs.
We work with a manufacturing company in Fareham who had staff who needed help with using Microsoft Excel. This was all done in line with a grant they had received based on the age of the learners. We developed courses to suit the two groups of people we had, including relevant exercises, manuals and homework. We also spend 1-2-1 time with the learners to go through applying the new skills to their ACTUAL jobs. One of the 1 hour 1-2-1's has reportedly saved one Manager 3 hours every month!
We worked with an Accounting firm in Hampshire for 3 years; they used us to oversee their entire training budget. We booked their CPD training, their IT, their soft skills and made sure all their training records were kept up-to-date. We still provide them with a training recording and reporting system on-line to assist with their training process.
We have been providing training services to the Southampton Branch of one of the top 10 accountancy practises in the UK for several years now. We send a trainer in when required who sits in their meeting room and helps staff on a 1-2-1 basis on any product they have problems with. This runs much more like a workshop, but works really well and ensures that staff are able to spend the minimum time learning what they really need to know.
We have been working with a Fareham based construction firm for several years now helping them with specific IT needs and strategic planning. On the IT side, we visit them as required and go through what is most appropriate for the team at the time. This ranges from 2 hours on PowerPoint for several staff, to 20 minute slots with different people on different software. This is ongoing training for the client's team which works out to be an excellent motivator and time saver. We also work with the management team when a new starter joins the business, preparing the relevant documentation and carrying out profiling to assist with the recruitment and training plan development of the new team member.
We were working with a web design company who took the decision to expand to become a digital marketing agency. This meant that there were some very important key roles to fill for the organisation. We aided the recruitment process by providing DISC profiles on the interviewees which gave them the confidence to ask appropriate questions of the candidates and helped to clarify initial concerns or explain any first impressions that had been made.
